The MRC were looking for winter event ideas to further utilise their Caulfield site outside of race days. So we came up with an event that takes classic elements of winter warming and the modern enthusiasm for boutique distilleries to create a tasting festival inside a fire garden.

The inaugural Whisky, Wine & Fire event was held at Caulfield Racecourse over four consecutive nights in 2018, returning in 2019. Over two short years the event became one of Australia’s premier whisky events, selling out in 2019. After a hiatus due to COVID the event is returning in 2024.

The event features distinguished single malt, small batch, Scotch and wine labels. Attendees can smell, swill and sip their way through tastings, enjoy live music and entertainment, and fill their stomachs with roasted beasts and flame-grilled meats, whilst exploring a spectacular fire garden of sculptures and installations.


In just its second year Whisky, Wine & Fire has established itself as one of Australia’s premier whisky events.

The event celebrates and delivers on the sensory warming that we crave over winter, with whisky, mulled wines, flame cooked meats and hypnotic fire installations, as well as live music and roving entertainment. 

We conceptualised the event, and are responsible for the creative direction, including programming across food, beverages, fire installations, and live entertainment.
