Jackalope Cinema

IN MARCH 2025, ThE LUXURIOUS JACKALOPE HOTEL INVITED FILM LOVERS TO IMMERSE THEMSELVES IN A BRAND-NEW CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE.

Jackalope Cinema, in partnership with Lexus Australia, was a pop-up cinema erected each night where guests could enjoy a night at the movies from their private terrace rooms or catch a seat on Jackalope’s 30 metre infinity pool deck. Featuring a carefully curated program of international classics, cult favourites, and cinematic gems, the outdoor cinema was set against the breathtaking backdrop of Jackalope’s rolling vineyards.

Guests could settle in with Bluetooth headphones for a private, uninterrupted escape into the world of film.

Jackalope also provided snacks from bottomless popcorn and ice cream to a curated menu of nostalgia-inspired bites with vino.

“Having studied film before pivoting to designing spaces and experiences, the pillar of storytelling will be brought to life at Jackalope,” said founder Louis Li. “One of my favourite moments of staying at Jackalope is holding a box of popcorn and watching a movie in the comfort of the rooms. Jackalope Cinema, presented by Lexus, is an elevated  experience of this.”

We were responsible for the production and technical management of the screen and sound for Jackalope Cinema, which included a bespoke screen created especially for the event that could be erected and dismantled in just a few minutes, and with a wind rating that far exceeded traditional outdoor cinema solutions such as inflatable screens. We managed the sourcing and provision of bluetooth headphones, and also managed the licensing of each film title.
