TAC VANESSA
THE BRIEF
Re-energise and re-invigorate the TAC’s Vanessa program with the design and build of a vehicle for communicating road safety messages and providing complimentary breath tests to a youth audience.
THE IDEA
Build something resembling a 1970’s roller disco on wheels – a completely bespoke double story truck where people can hang out, interact with fun activities, and get an awesome view of the festival.
THE RESULT
A completely bespoke double story vehicle with interactive design elements that connect with a youth audience. It’s interactive infrastructure captures data and facilitates event interactions.
With a complex build period of nine months, District Agency worked with Lifelounge and delivered a completely bespoke double story vehicle – complete with a hydraulic raising roof, a custom built photo booth with touchscreen technology, a state of the art audio visual system, and even a disco staircase with coloured sensor lights leading to a 360 degree upper deck viewing platform.
As the country’s longest continuous experiential activation, Vanessa continues to tour dozens of festivals and events around Victoria each year.
